The Rules
- Try to keep things realistic; I know that Death Note does tend to have supernatural elements and yes, they most likely will be incorporated into this site, but I really don't want to see kids flying into the sunset on winged elephants or anything like that.
- Keeping with the last idea, please keep in mind that this site takes place in the year 2001, about two years before all things Kira began. If you are creating a canon character it is imperitive that you consider that when writing about things like their ages, their histories or even their appearances.
- An anime avatar for your character is necessary for everyone. It does not necessarily have to be from a television program or manga, though that would be preferable considering the fact that you would be able to claim it. If you have trouble picking one out the other members are here to help out.
- Keep everything in its designated area and avoid spamming. Advertisements should go in the advertising board, not the cbox or general chat, and the same goes for all other posts.
- You may only roleplay after your character bio has been accepted, though you can post in the c-box and make reservations.
- One character per account, please. This makes things so much more organized. You are allowed multiple characters, though please make sure you can keep them all active.
- Your display name should consist of your character's alias, with the first letter capital.
- Violence, fighting, swearing, etc. in character is probably going to happen, but please keep it realistic and keep in mind that despite being intelligent, these are still mostly young children.
- Out of character fighting or discrimination is forbidden; take it to PMs if you really must fight.
- Literacy is required, of course, with the minimum word count for the site being 250 words. It shouldn't be too difficult for most of you.
- No minimums are provided in the application, though I would like you to do your best in creating your character; I trust everyone who joins to provide me with the maximum amount of information about your character and mac and cheese.
- Past tense, third person for all in-character posts. I expect that most of you should be used to that. Also, god-modding and power playing are forbidden.
- Try to keep from creating Mary-sues (perfect, boring characters without flaws) when you write your bios. They're no fun to roleplay with.
- If you have any further questions, don't be afraid to ask someone.
- Have fun and enjoy your stay!
