Name: Mihael Keehl.
Alias: Mello.
Gender: Male.
Age: Twelve.
Birth Date: December 13th.LET ME SEE YOU SMILE
••
Height: Mello is five feet tall at this point in time.
Weight: 95 pounds.
Build: Mello is skinny, despite all the chocolate he eats. He enjoys physical challenges, leading him to spend time in the gym. He's still young, so he doesn't have a whole lot of muscle built up yet, but once he gets a bit older and grows up some more, his hard work is likely to become noticible.
Eye Colour: Light blue.
Hair Colour: Depending on the light, his hair is between a blond and orange color.
Avatar: Death Note, Mello.Mello's taste in clothing is fairly distinct around Wammy's House, and is pretty easy to recognize, as his style is quite consistent. His blond hair--which sometimes appears to be more orange depending what light he's under--is almost always kept at shoulder length, with bangs that hang down in his eyes. Sometimes it gets a little longer and grazes his shoulders, but he's pretty good at keeping it the same length. It's a little unconventional for a boy to have longer hair, but since when has Mello ever been conventional? His eyes are a light blue color, that often convey his emotions whether he wants them to or not. His skin is light, though during the summer time, it tends to be slightly tanned.
His clothing is always dark in color, though it's most often black. Mello prefers sleeveless tops when the weather permits, such as vests. The boy has a thing for black leather; his pants are usually made out of the material. The male tends to flaunt his lean body in clothing that clings to his body. His hands are usually clad in black gloves, whether it's winter outside or not. Mello has a silver cross necklace that hangs down to about his stomach that he only takes off to shower. He never specifies why he wears it or where it came from, even if asked directly about it. On his feet when shoes are needed, Mello almost always wears black lace up combat boots.
He sees himself as quite fashionable, and likes sticking out from the crowd a bit. There are times when he doesn't bother with his appearance and just wears plain black clothing that doesn't cling to his body like his traditional leather does.THE DRUGS DON'T WORK

The nickname given to Mihael upon his entrance at Wammy's House is completely deceiving. Someone named 'Mello' implies that the person would be laid back, which couldn't be further from the truth when it comes to Mello's real personality. He runs mostly on his impulses and feelings. Sometimes that way of operating is a good thing, but it has a tendency to cause more harm than good in the long run. He has a very short fuse, and often switches moods over the drop of a hat.
His methods to solving problems are normally unconventional, and tend to be rather extravagant. When Mello does something and really puts himself into it, he thinks big. His solutions to problems are some that others might not think of, and usually put on some sort of show. Mello likes being noticed; he thrives on it. When he coordinates things though, however, he usually is just flying by the seat of his pants, so to speak. While he thinks ahead and makes plans to some extent, he doesn't usually stick to them due to his impulsiveness. Mello's emotions are always a major factor in everything he does.
If there is one thing that is constant about Mello's personality, it's that he has an iron will. When he wants something, he does everything humanly possible in order to get it. He's certainly not a slacker. Due to this, it's not a surprise that he's a very impatient person, especially when something important is at stake. There are times when he is able to keep his cool, when he knows and understands that it's necessary to wait, but that doesn't mean he likes it.
Though he has many talents, there is one thing that Mello fails miserably at, which just so happens to be lying. With all of his negative personality traits, it would seem as though lying would be another thing he’d have under his belt, but he doesn’t. Sometimes he withholds information, but never actually flat out lies. Even if he does attempt to do so, he’s so bad at it that even a small child would be able to tell he isn’t being genuine. If something doesn't go according to plan in certain situations, he merely comes up with some other plan to make up for it--to get around lying.
He does have his redeeming qualities as well. There are select people whom he considers to actually be friends, and as such, he truly cares about them. He worries about their well being and helps them if he's able. Despite his moody demeanor, he's actually pretty good at relating to others. Mello is a lot more social then most of the other children around Wammy's House. He doesn't particularly like being alone, so it isn't out of the ordinary for him to strike up conversations with the other kids...it also isn't out of the ordinary for him to pick fights with select individuals as well.
While he likes being in the company of others and occasionally calls upon them for help, he also dislikes being in debt to anyone, and is quick to come to other's aides if he feels he owes them something. This just goes to show that he isn't exactly a bad person, he just doesn't always pick moral paths all the time.TELL ME YOUR STORY

Family: Kisha (last name unknown, mother)
Nicholai Keehl (father)
Heritage: European.
Hometown: Bratislava, Slovakia.
Birthplace: Bratislava, Slovakia.
Mihael was born to a dysfunctional couple named Nicholai and Kisha. His mother abandoned the family when he was but an infant, while his father was more concerned with his numerous addictions and illegal deals then taking care of his son. Needless to say, he didn't have a particularly pleasant childhood, and was often ignored and left to his own devices, even at a young age. When he was three years old, his father overdosed on drugs, and passed away. Having nowhere else to go, he was taken in by an orphanage.
He began going to school not long after, a place where he excelled at. The young child immersed himself into learning, and worked very hard to get good grades. He thought that if he obtained good grades, he might finally find a permanent home with a family who loved him. Mihael was a very smart young boy, though he had to put long hours into his work in order to achieve good grades. His efforts didn't go unnoticed. Mihael did in fact find a family of sorts, even if it wasn't a traditional one. He got an offer to move to a place known as the Wammy House when he was just six years old and moved from the other orphanage almost immediately.
While he liked Wammy’s House, his good grades at school simply weren't enough to stand out. All the children there were brilliant in their own right, which began to make Mihael—dubbed Mello upon entering the House—strive even more to make himself stand out. Such things were easier said than done though, causing Mello to act out when things didn't go his way. He certainly wasn't a traditional member of Wammy’s House and he began to find that acting up when the time was right got him more attention. Because of this, he began to let his emotions get the best of him, and began working mainly from his impulses.
He was soon thought of as one of the best at Wammy’s House, but that still isn't good enough for Mello. He wants to be the next L, to be the one that everyone looks up to. So, he has continued to work even harder than before. Will he ever get his big chance to show what he's made of and outshine all of his competition? He'll do everything in his power in order to make sure that his dreams become reality.YOU'RE GONNA GO FAR, KID

Name: Aimi.
Age: ^_^
Experience: Around six years, I believe, if not longer.
Codeword: Don't look here.
Fun fact: Although I've loved Death Note for quite some time, this is the first role-play I've actually joined about it! Hmm, also I wasn't too sure as to what to pick for Mello's main focus, so I landed on Weaponry. Other suggestions are welcome, though!
Sample Post:
"I swear I had another one stashed away..." Mello muttered to no one in particular. As he rummaged through his belongings, he looked for the one thing that kept him going--chocolate. "Damn it!" he exclaimed, unable to find the bar he was looking for. His actions became more frantic as frustration began to course through his veins. So, he didn't have any more chocolate in his room...that was alright, he could just run to the store and by some more...except he didn't have any money left. His body gave an involuntary twitch at the thought of going a day without the sweet he was addicted to, and quickly began to devise a plan to get some anyway.
He moved quickly through the Wammy House, walking confidently, as if he was up to nothing important. When he got near the kitchen, he stopped dead in his tracks and listened closely, to see if he could hear anyone in there. It didn't take him very long to hear numerous voices. Mello glanced at a clock on the wall, and seen that it was almost time for lunch to be served. It was both a good and a bad thing really. The bad thing was there were adults in the kitchen, but the good thing was that they'd be distracted as they tried to get all the food ready. If he was lucky, he'd be able to sneak in while they were serving the food, make it out without getting into trouble, and run to the Dining Hall in time to get food.
Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick...
Mello stared at the clock on the wall still, counting the seconds until the kitchen would be mostly cleared. Wammy's house often ran on a strict schedule when it came to meal times, and so it was more then possible to predict when the kitchen would be empty for a few moments. Satisfied with the time, Mello pushed the door to the kitchen opened a little, then entered fully when he didn't see anyone. Rushing to one of the cabinets, he threw the door opened, looking for the packages of chocolate kept for making s'mores. He couldn't find them, and quickly deducted that the chocolate had been moved...probably because this wasn't the first time he had stocked up from the kitchen's stash. Mello didn't have much time until the cooks came back, so he would have to quicken the pace.
The male moved from cabinet to cabinet, quickly searching each and every one of them, until at last he found a stack of chocolate bars. He grabbed several of them, shut the cabinet, turned on his heel, then ran toward the door. 'Mello! Get back here!' he heard, but only ran faster. Like he would really stop, he'd only get hear a lecture that way! So the blond boy ran back to his room, hid all the stolen chocolate bars except one, then threw himself on his bed. He unwrapped the bar with a slight frown on his face. Even though he had ultimately gotten what he wanted, it still wasn't good enough. "I bet Near wouldn't have been caught," he muttered bitterly to himself. Mello ran his spare hand through his hair as he stared at the ceiling. He was going to have to work harder...but would it ever be good enough?
